OUR MISSION
To be a valuable team player and advocate on behalf of the individual. To ensure the individual and family are knowledgeable on the budget and employer authority responsibilities as it pertains to the DDA Family Supports, Community Supports, and Community Pathways Waivers. To provide high quality of care and respect ensuring the individual is included in each step of the process. To assist the individual in navigating the path to achieve empowerment towards personal growth, independence, productivity and living their life to its fullest. PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Our Services are;
Our company assist participants and families to make informed decisions as it pertains to the DDA Family Support, Community Supports and Community pathways Waivers self-direction option. We assist participants (or their designated representative) with the human resources employer-related functions necessary for successful self-direction. This includes an initial introductory orientation related to the “employer of record”, Department of Labor, and applicable federal, State and local employment requirements; development of staff policies, procedures, schedules, and backup plan strategies; and recruitment, advertising, and interviewing potential staff.
Our company's representatives act as human resource supports/agents to assist the participant and their family members with the employer and budget authority responsibilities which may include:
1. Understanding, managing, and directing services as they pertain to the self-directions waiver common law employer ;
2. Teaching and clarifying the process for which changes are made to the person-centered plan and individual budget;
3. Risks and responsibilities of self-direction;
4. Policy on Report able Incidents and Investigations (PORII);
5. Choice and control over the selection and hiring of qualified individuals as workers;
6. Individual and employer rights and responsibilities; and
7. The reassessments and review of work schedules.
8. Practical skills training (e.g., hiring, managing and terminating workers, problem solving, conflict resolution);
9 Development of risk management agreements as well as service as a mediation rep to resolve concerns;
10. Work with our clients in developing strategies, advertisements, posting assistance for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff;
11. Developing staff supervision and evaluation strategies;
.12 Developing employer related risk assessment, planning, and remediation strategies;
13. Developing strategies for managing the budget and budget modifications including reviewing monthly Fiscal
Management Services reports to ensure that the individualized budget is being spent in accordance with the
approved Person-Centered Plan and budget and conducting audits;
